It is ideal for getting into grooves, slots, threads or channels, punched or drilled holes, and contoured surfaces such as car parts. Combining an aggressive cut with durability makes it a great solution for edge breaking and removal of machine tool marks or flash. Cartridge rolls are either straight or tapered. Straight rolls are cylindrical and effective at getting into curves on stamped or rounded parts. Tapered rolls are cone shaped and allow better reach into punched or drilled holes. Using a Cartridge Roll on a High-Speed ToolThe cartridge roll has an arbor hole to accommodate a mandrel tool attachment (sold separately), which attaches to a rotary tool such as a die grinder or drill. The mandrel should have a pilot length no less than 1/2˝ shorter than the length of the cartridge roll.
