The construction of the bonded brush makes it a good match for cleaning applications like deburring, because of how the discs are arranged: compressed together on a core. The outer diameters of the discs abrade the workpiece, so you get a more aggressive cut, especially on edges and contours. This process differs from a flap brush, for example, in which the flaps gently lap the surface - making these brushes a better fit for finishing. Moreover, this versatile mineral works well on many substrates, including ferrous and non-ferrous alloys. Talc, by comparison, is one of the softest synthetic minerals.
