Holders & Back-up Pads

Our 3M™ Roloc™+ Button plays an important role in the 3M™ Roloc™+ Attachment system, and it's designed to drive 3M™ Unitized Wheels that contain a 3/8" inch center hole.

Our 3M™ Orbital File Shoe Base Plate features a 2-3/4” x 10” size for fast, easy attachment to Hutchins models 3800, 3804 and 4932 and other 10” orbital air file sanders with dust vacuum systems. This base plate readily accepts adhesive for use with a full range of 3M abrasive sheets, and features a hole configuration that helps channel dust away from the sheet surface for longer abrasive life.

The 3M™ Brake Hub Cleaning Disc Holder is used to attach and hold our brake hub cleaning discs to die grinders or right angle disc sanders. Our 3M™ Brake Hub Cleaning Disc Holder and associated discs are designed to remove rust and corrosion from metal surfaces, particularly around wheel studs on brake drums or rotors.

We designed our Hookit™ Abrasive Disc Pads to bring new levels of efficiency and performance to a broad range of auto body projects. Specific pads are tapered for sanding projects on flat surfaces or contours, low speed or high. Disc pads feature our Hookit™ attachment system for use with a range of Hookit™ abrasive discs, affording quick change-outs and longer life of disc pads and discs.

3M™ Finesse-it™ Roloc™ Finishing Disc Pad is made with soft foam to provide greater conformability than standard 3M™ Roloc™ backup pads. The 3M™ Hookit™ surface is manufactured with mushroom headed hooks that hold the buffing pad firmly in place. This backup pad is designed to be used with rotary tools only. The foam backing provides good conformability.

Our 3M™ Hookit™ Back-up Pad is available in soft, medium and hard foam densities for support during jobs from paint removal to fine finishing. Center-hole pads feature flat rigid centers and softer edges, providing added control. Our 6- and 7-in. pads feature several hole patterns to promote dust extraction. Our Hookit™ attachment system makes changing discs fast and easy.

Our Standard Abrasives™ Quick Change Disc Pads, also called Holder Pads, allow you to rapidly change Standard Abrasives™ quick change discs (sold separately) during multi-step projects. A wide range of sizes and densities are available, ensuring that you can find the pad(s) that best suits your specific grinding and finishing application.
