The design also supports a graded-porosity media structure, which results in lower pressure drops, longer service life and lower overall filtration costs. These filters are manufactured using our staggered pleat configuration that, when combined with a novel support material, provides more open space between the pleats. The increased open area of the staggered pleats allow for greater contaminant loading between each pleat at the inside diameter, while reduced-length pleats take advantage of existing open space closer to the outside diameter.
