Cellulose Depth Filter Cartridges

We designed Zeta Plus™ LA Series Filter Cartridges for pharmaceutical manufacturing applications where the most stringent organic and inorganic extractables requirements exist. The cartridges have a reduced potential for yielding false positives in product endotoxin testing resulting from 1,3 beta-glucan interference in LAL (Endotoxin) assays due to aggressive extraction of the cellulose fibers.

The 3M™ Zeta Plus™ A Series Filter Cartridge is used in industrial, chemical, and utility process applications, available in several micron ratings, offering efficient filtration in the 1 to 20 micron range.

We developed Zeta Plus™ SP Series Filter Cartridges to provide optimal clarification of pharmaceutical, biological, bioprocess and cosmetic fluids. They are constructed with Zeta Plus™ SP Series depth filtration media, composed of inorganic filter aid, cellulose and a resin system that imparts a positive charge to the filter matrix, aiding its adsorption of negatively charged contaminants.

Our Zeta Plus™ H Series Filter Cartridges utilize a charge-modified depth filter media with high-tensile strength, which performs efficiently under elevated operating temperatures or repeated hot water sanitation cycles. In addition to the mechanical exclusion of particles via depth loading, the filter media adsorbs contaminants too small for mechanical straining alone.

Our Zeta Plus™ U & UW Series filters for the power generation industry are offered in two formulations.
