        Problem
        Consistent filtration throughout the service life of a depth-style filter depends on how well the filter’s structure tolerates fluctuations in operating conditions – including contaminant loading and differential pressure. Flexible structures, such as meltblown and string-wound filters, tend to compress and change porosity with increased pressure, while rigid structures do not. Media compression can result in short filter life because the pores collapse and ultimately close. Media compression can also cause the filter to release already held particles.

        Solution
        Our robust Micro-Klean™ RT Series Cartridge captures and retains contaminant within its rigid filter matrix, even under increasing differential pressure. In addition, the depth filter structure of the Micro-Klean™ RT Series Cartridge provides a significant increase in contaminant holding capacity and flow capacity at a given pressure. Unlike soft meltblown and string-wound filters that require core support, our Micro-Klean™ RT Series Cartridge is self-supporting and is grooved to provide greater than twice the surface area of ungrooved cartridges. The extended surface area prevents premature blinding of the outer surface by large particles and gels, and promotes fuller utilization of the depth-matrix. The result is significantly long filter life.

        The 3M™ CTG-Klean System Filter Pack with Micro-Klean™ RT Series Cartridge is part of an enclosed system that uses a separate pressure vessel and disposable filter pack to isolate the product to be filtered from the housing. It reduces the amount of labor and operator exposure to impurities and cleaning solvents involved with filter change-outs and cleaning of conventional housings.

        Our site states no returns allowed; however, if your order is defective or damaged, the order will be replaced with good product. In addition, we will attempt to return all your product (not only damaged product) if 3M grants the return based on various factors. Some items may be approved for return pending approval from 3M.
