        The 3M™ Aqua-Pure™Whole House Water Filtration SystemSST Series helps provide long-lasting water filtration for your home. Available in 3/4” or 1” NPT inlet and outlet configurations, this stainless-steel water filter housing helps maximize flow rates with minimal pressure drop. It can be used for hot and cold-water applications in your family’s home, including water filtration for drinking water, bathing and helping extend the life of appliances.

        This whole house water filtration systemis made of a stainless-steel housing and head for high strength and durability and comes in two different sizes to accommodate single-family homes with varying water demands. It is compatible with a variety of filter types to meet your filtration needs.

        Installation

        The 3M™ Aqua-Pure™ Whole House Water Filtration System SST Series should be installed at the point of entry by a qualified professional. The filter can be adaptedto various pipe sizes and materials by using adapters on either end. To install, you’ll need a pipe or tubing cutter, PTFE tape, NPT fittings for water line connection, an adjustable wrench and an Aqua-Pure™ whole house replacement filter. A ring nut connector with a tightening tool that helps enable positive filter sealing and easy filter change-out is included.

        • Aqua-Pure SST Install Steps 1-3

          1. Turn off the water.

          2. Turn off the fuel or electrical power supply to the water heater.

          3. Depressurize the water supply lines.

        • Aqua-Pure SST Install Steps 4-6

          4. Remove housing.

          5. Screw the adapters into the filter head.

          6. Cut the cold-water pipe.

        • Aqua-Pure SST Install Steps 7-9

          7. Install the filter head.

          8. Mount the filter system.

          9. Install the filter cartridge.

          Pro tip: Note the installation date to help with replacement schedule.

          10. Turn on the water.

          11. Flush the system.

          12. Turn on the fuel or electrical power supply to the water heater.

          Your system is now installed and ready to use!
