Its heavy F-weight paper backing can be cut and folded to fit any work piece or hand tool, and a distinct gold color to easily differentiate it from other grits and grains. These rolls also come ready to use with a pressure sensitive adhesive coating on the backside so they conveniently press on to the backup pad and remove cleanly, leaving an uncontaminated surface for the next attachment. The Stikit™ roll should be used in conjunction with our 3M™ Stikit™ backup pad (sold separately) that is attached to a sander.Aluminum Oxide AbrasiveAluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. Aluminum oxide is suitable for use on a wide variety of materials in woodworking.Heat and Load ResistantThis paper roll is constructed using a semi-open coat of abrasive grains that helps to balance both load resistance and fine finishing action. It also uses a resin bonding which is specially designed to resist thermal and chemical deterioration, which can occur during sanding. This bond is very tough and excellent for precision work on hard and soft wood. This also allows for faster sanding and a higher cut rate.
