It is tear-resistant and non-compressible. The polyester backing is also water resistant so the sheet may be run with coolant if desired. Coolant is a desirable component for diamond polishing, since it efficiently cools both the work and the abrasive.This is available in grades ranging from 125 to 9 micron giving users the range of grades for a variety of finish and stock removal needs.
